I think most reasonable people understand that having a sexual kink doesn't mean it is acceptable for that person to be abused in a non-consensual way (even if their kink is based on pain or humiliation).

However, it can lead to victim-blaming.  I am wondering whether anyone has seen any of this directed towards Rihanna?

Last night it started to snow.  And snow.  And snow.

What I noticed after a while was that it was as though the world had stopped.  I live on a side street, but it's a very busy one, with a popular bar on the corner.  Buses run routes half a block away, right by a major brewery with supply and delivery trucks coming and going at all hours, as well ( Read more... )

 I hate shopping for sneakers.  It is an exercise in frustration.

I live in my sneakers; I wear them every day, and I walk around a lot.

The bite on my ankle is almost healed - just in time for a new bite.

This new bite is in an area one cannot scratch in polite company:  at the crease where one's rump ends and the upper leg begins.  Even you flat-butted people know where I'm talking about.

And of course it itches like nobody's business.

1.  Weather getting cooler.  I wondered why my furnace hadn't come on.  Turns out that the contractor had turned the thermostat off while he jacked the furnace up for better air flow, and didn't turn it back on afterwards.  Oops ( Read more... )
